I left a package of dry yeast and some hop pellets out for about 2 weeks in room temp.. I thinking RAHAHB ?? Should I make a starter or something with the yeast before I try and use it?? Or will it will just be fine??

thanks

You should be fine on both accounts. You haven't left them out long enough to do too much damage. AS long as the hops were sealed, you should be mostly ok. The thing I'd worry about is if they were open and exposed to air.

They might not be as fresh as you'd hoped at this point, but I doubt they're bad. Here's a link on hops storage:

And the dry yeast will be fine too.

both the yeast and the hops were still factory sealed.. the hops came in the sealled package type
I put them in the fridge, so guess I'll just hope for the best

now that I think about it.. the brewers best kits are stored at room temp at the LHBS and inculde the yeast and hops.. so I should be fine

I left my yeast and hops at room temperature for weeks once. It was all fine. However, I was lucky as the hops was kept in a airtight ziplocked bag.

I got a Pale Ale kit and an equipment kit for retirement. It sat around for a year before I brewed the pale ale. It turned out OK. Sometimes I think that we worry a bit too much about stuff. Beer seems to be very forgiving.
