I accidentally pitched my yeast before I properly aerated my wort. I decided to aerate right after I pitched. I figured it would be better than not doing it at all. Does anyone know of any issues from aerating in this fashion. Slow/sluggish fermentation? anything like that?

Thanks for the input

It should be fine. I've pitched wondered why nothing really happened after 2 days. Then remembered I forgot to shake the heck out of it, shook the heck out of it and fermentation started a few hours later.

The yeast just won't do much if they don't have O2, but it won't hurt them. I've also had times where my fermentation just seemed to be going slow and shaking the carboy and yelling at it makes me feel better, I'm probably motivating the yeast by doing so. :p

Haha thanks I may resort to that verbal encouragement.
