all my beers have a lame, fizzy head that dissipates really fast. ive seen a lot of pictures of your pints and i see some big fluffy heads that look like a lemon marange pie. I WANT THIS. how do i get this?

i do 5 gallon batches.

Five pound batches? Do you mean Gallon batches???

How long are you letting your beers bottle condition? Often when someone says their head dissipates it is because their beer isn't finished carbing and conditioning.

Also certain grains help with head production. Carapils, wheat, flaked oats all help in head creation in recipes.

lol yes. 5 gallons. this current beer has bottle conditioned for about 6 weeks.

Washing bottles/glasses with dish detergent and not rinsing thoroughly can kill head retention. Also, perhaps the recipe was just missing the right amount/type of grains..

What recipe did you use?
