I'm still waiting for the gas man to connect up the cooker in my new house so that I can brew my first batch of beer. Given that I can't do anything until that's sorted, I have instead designed the label for my hopefully-not-terrible first batch. It's adapted from / shamefully stolen from Alexander Rodchenko's original. Any comments welcome!

I've also just done a label for my American Wheat - any comments gratefully received as usual :mug:

great labels! I love the colors, geometric themes and the overall concept.

a couple of constructive criticisms:
I personally don't like it when words are split up. If it were me, I'd put all of Rivelin in the black part and then I'd put the word BREW in the black part and ERY in the red part.

re: the american wheat label... i don't understand the connection between the color test swatch in the bottom and the rest of the design. Check your alignments, especially on the right side of the image.

like i said, your design are great and i hope you don't mind the crit.

These are really neat, I especially love the Lilya Brik IPA. What program are you using to make them?

Yeah, you're right - not sure what happened there, but the alignment is a little out of whack. I'll get on it.

Not at all, I really appreciate you taking the time to comment - thanks! :mug:

Thanks for the comments guys. I use Photoshop for these, as it's the only graphics software I know how to use (and coz it's awesome).

I think the original Lilya Brik image is unspeakably cool. While looking for other similar images I came across a really nice visual blog at http://www.monoscope.com/ . I find it inspiring when I'm all out of label ideas.

Here are a few more labels I've just finished. The first is for the small Belgian beer I made just for the yeast cake. The other two are for the Amarillo/Vienna SMaSH beer combination I'm making.

IMHO the IPA label looks better with the vertical lines, how does it look when you just put the text on the right side of the lines?
