There is a Golden Road pouring station behind the outfield bleachers but it's outrageously expensive. Something like $18 for 16 ounces of session IPA.
Kershaw should have paid us tonight. Feck!
I live in Long Beach. Anyone tell me where the spots in LA/OC with a good Fantome selection? Cal Heights liquor typically has Fantome Saison, Ruby and Noel. Wanting to spread my wings.
.love that place, thanks!Bit of a trek, but Hi Times in Costa Mesa usually has quite a few tomes turfing it up.
Both Wine Country and Stearns always have the tomes. They are both in Long Beach.Kershaw should have paid us tonight. Feck!

I need to get up to Kern sometime soon.
Been meaning to check that place out. The bread looks good...not that I need any more carbs. Might do that on Saturday as well.Anybody been to Long Beach beer lab? They also bake bread.
I actually went last Friday and was really impressed with the beers I had. The pale ale was very solid. I had a taste of one of their sour beers and it was good. The real star was the IPA. No joke, it reminded me of the OG Alpine days. When I first tasted it, it brought back memories of Nelson. I started with a taster and ended up crushing a pint. Centennial, Citra and Motueka hops. Looking forward to going back soon.Anybody been to Long Beach beer lab? They also bake bread.
I always try to give new breweries 3-4 months personally to figure it out. Some nail it form the start. Green cheek being a recent example.I actually went last Friday and was really impressed with the beers I had. The pale ale was very solid. I had a taste of one of their sour beers and it was good. I also stopped in for the soft opening of Ten Mile. Great space and it was pretty busy but for me the beers were lacking. Not sure if they're still trying to dial things in but everything I tasted was just not there. Hopefully they can work it out. It's kinda fun to have more breweries open up around the Long Beach area.
LB Beer lab was nice. I enjoyed their stout...tons of coffee. FYI, the kitchen is closed on Saaturdays.Anybody been to Long Beach beer lab? They also bake bread.

Barrel Aged Griffith J. Griffith and Neighborhood bottles will go on sale today online at 3:30pm! These details are for Beer Friends only, the public sale will be Friday 9/22/17(with the same pick up dates).
BEER DETAILS:
Barrel-Aged Griffith J. Griffith - Imperial Stout with Trystero Coffee (batch 3) - We took the already decadent Griffith and aged it for 8 months in Woodford Reserve barrels. This beer uses Ethiopian Sidamo coffee roasted by Trystero. We added an additional dose of fresh roasted whole beans just prior to bottling. The base of this beer is a full, warming Imperial Stout with rich, dark chocolate and char from the deep roast, dark berry qualities from the coffee, and decadent chocolate in the finish. The added time in whiskey barrels brings forward the complex notes of a Manhattan cocktail, balanced booziness, and the warmth of charred oak. 12.5% abv.
870 bottle release. $16 per bottle
Neighborhood - Barrel Fermented Witbier (batch 2) - This vibrant and refreshing wit beer was created with the intent of making a more rustic, historic version of this beer style. Fresh Bergamot oranges and Tahitian pummelos were zested and added to French oak barrels. We used a traditional witbier yeast to set the tone for this beer and then added our house cultures (brett, lacto, and pedio) to impart more depth. Refreshing, complex, and gushing with tart citrus fruit characteristics. 5.3% abv.
480 bottle release. $11 per bottle
