Is there anywhere with a decent tap list to watch the super bowl? Imma be down there that weekend and have no plans where to watch the game. Likely around the Anaheim area but will be mobile and potentially also near Alhambra/Pico Rivera

What the **** is up with someone asking on Smog City's face book page that if they had to camp out for tomorrow's BA nothing release. What have we become? Smog City is delicious but they aren't well known. Last year bottles sat for months of the nothing and bottles of their coffee porter and SBS sit on the shelf at costco. Toss something in a barrel and folks just assume it's instant trade ammo for them whales?

Apparently sold out of Infinite Wishes in a couple hours. Drinking one from the tap right now and I'm glad bottles are gone, I'd probably buy a couple if I could. I don't think it's worth it, meh. And I like The Nothing.

I'm guessing 38 Degrees in Alhambra might be a good place to check out. Haven't heard if they're doing a Superbowl party this year but I'm sure they'll have it on.

I love 38 degrees. I go to their monthly bottle shares and it's fairly laid back.

As for Infinite Wishes. I like that it was $12 and it is essentially a 2 8oz pour Parabola for the price tag. I really didn't think the 2014 Nothing was tasting well compared to fresh and I'm disappointed I have a bottle sitting around some where of it. oh well, lesson learned, drink that fresh.

Same here. I've gone the last two times and had a great time at each one. Really laid back atmosphere and good people. Gonna have to play my cards right with the Mrs. to get out of going to a birthday party for a classmate of my 3y/o to go to the next one.

I do too. But people think I’m off my ******* rocker because I purposely take the longest, squirreliest routes I can when I drive (I usually take at least 13 hours to get from SD to SF with the help of this).
Likewise. Girlfriend hates vacations because of the drive, but I'll be damned if I don't like taking in the sights of mother nature.

yeah, a shame I lost the lotto, I need an excuse to take a little road trip. May just go up for a couple of pints and a burger.

Rock and Brews is going to tap vanilla rye, according to their Facebook post, this Tuesday the 27th. Besides a small sip I had at the brown bag event at highland Park brewery last month, this will be the first time to really drink the beer so I'm looking forward to this one.

Question - My mom is working/living in Simi Valley, a few blocks from the Reagan Library. Is there anything worthwhile and easy for her to get and ship to me?

Simi is really the dirty butthole of of SoCal when it comes to anything craft beer unfortunately. Enegren Brewing is about 5min from the Reagan Library. They have some decent stuff but nothing amazing.

There aren't even any good bottleshops or bars in Simi.

I know. Sorry. Not what you wanted to hear. I would just follow Noble on FB or whatever and see when they release their showers beers and have her hit the Thousand Oaks Whole Foods. 10min away and get you somadat sweet hoppy nectar. They've been absolutely killing the ipa world.

I have not been, but apparently Leo's Liquor has a pretty decent beer selection.

Hey LA peeps. Im visiting LA/Anaheim and wondering what places to go for-for brews? Meeting friends at The Bruery tmrw and wondering what else is near or worth a stop? Good bottle shops? Places that might have BTAC? (Yeah, right). Thanks for the help!

Mr. K's is right next to the Bruery. They have a pretty good selection of bottles. Also hit up Noble, it's like 5 minutes from the Bruery and they kick ass.

Bottle logic is also close to the Bruery. If you'll be in south LA county at all, beachwood long beach is great and they are releasing their melrose IPA in bottles tomorrow.

Ahh man, earlier in the week they posted on FB that the bourbon county stuff would get tapped at opening. Now that it's at 6 pm it's going to be sooo much more crowded....
Initially they had no time posted and then said 6pm. I agree, at 6pm it's going to be crowded plus more difficult to get to with rush hour traffic.

Sheesh, that was the easiest pour to get of any bourbon county tap takeover I've been to. The vanilla was very rich, viscous, and tasty....had 2 pours then some grub at standing room!

In case anyone wants to head to Santa Ana and get some bottles of dry hopped Brett beer. I believe they are at $12 for the 750 ml. More shameless pimping of the family brewery.
