Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash today, 1 of 5.

Very sad news. Incredible athlete.

God, his 13 year old daughter with him. I wish "thoughts and prayers" amounted to something. His poor wife, her mother. Terrible.

So sad. It appears he died going or coming from the basketball game he loved. I now hear there were 9 on board.
Thoughts and prayer to his wife and kids. To lose a husband and a child, wow, as a parent, my imagination can't go that far!

This is hard to see. Kobe playing with his girl, Gianna, who died with him today. Touching to me he's teaching her the game, from the best coach a girl could have, and by all I've seen, a very, very loving dad. It is so damn sad.

His widow and Gianna's siblings are going to have a hard road ahead. My heart goes out to them tonight.
