I have tried searching for a keggle tutorial, but have come up short.

Is there a complete pictorial of a welded keggle build?

I have found a welder willing to cut and weld for me in trade for some homebrew, but he wants to see what it is I want him to do.

As mentioned, I need a welded pictorial so I can print and show him. I found the videos Yuri Rage put together, and will try to get him to view them as well.

There's a mostly complete section in the wiki, but maybe it doesn't show much about bulkheads. Here's a pic to get you started:

Sorry for the dark pic but I was going for drama... Looking for more.

Here's a better shot of the same thing. The drain bulkhead is a 1/2" stainless coupling welded as low as you can get it. It should mostly sit inside the keg with the coupling nearly flush with the outside wall (I think 1/8" sticking out is reasonable).

If you want a thermometer, that should be slightly higher but certainly below the first 1/3 of the keg so it still reads under 5 gallons.

For a sight glass, which you may or may not want right away, have a 1/2" coupling welded just like the drain.... as low down as possible. Even if you end up with a sightglass fitting with smaller threads, you can always bush down from 1/2". 1/2" just gives you versatility. Note in that last pic the sightglass uses a welded-in elbow which I regret doing. No flexibility there.

Bobby_M,
I see that you have a gard over you're sight glass in the top photo. I've been thinking of doing this with mine and was hoping you could give some details on how you went about it, ie... is it welded to the keg, is the sightglass tube connected to the gard and if so how? Anything would be helpful.
Thanks

I do it differently to most brewers.
I'd ask him to just fit a 1/2" nipple.

So I can just weld a nipple in the hole and screw the valve right on to the nipple? This was a little hard to find. Maybe the Wiki should say something about it.
