Hi everyone.
This is my first post. I'm only been brewing for a year or so. I really enjoy the info I get from this site.
My question is... I will keg my beer for the first time in a few days. I've bottled everyone of them til now. This one is an amber ale. I've also never cold crashed. Should I put my carboy in my keezer set at mid 30s for a day or two then rack to the keg? Will that help clarify my beer? I thought it may help remove some of the trub before going into my keg. Thanks for your help.

You can do that. I tend to rack to the keg then crash overnight and add gelatin the next day at a rate of 1/2 teaspoon to 1/4 cup of water which I pulse for 7 second intervals (stirring in between) in the microwave until it reaches 150°.

Thanks Jekeane. I decided not to cold crash this time. I would've had to carry carboy outside and figured I really stir up sediment. I racked it into the keg put a little co2 on it and turned temp to 35F. Today I turned the pressure to 30 psi. We will see how my first kegging goes. Next batch I'll have more patience
