Evening/Morning wherever you may be, after thinking about my setup and not really being happy with plastic equipment. I was thinking of getting hold of some wooden barrels but was wondering what sort of wood would suit a dark ale? I guess it comes down to flavours, along wondering if 'smoking' the barrel can add a lot of flavour and leave a smoky taste to it?
