kegerator questions

Ok guys so basically i purchased a kegerator set up on craigslist that included the tap, tubing, co2 tank and a single body regulator it was being used to pour from commercial kegs. I will be ordering the parts necessary to start serving homebrew. My first question is can i use the regulator i currently have or should i just spring for a more traditional HB regulator? My second question is is a temp controller absolutely necessary? The guy who i purchased it from has the fridge dialed in so that it would serve perfectly cold beer and never had a single problem, im just trying to save a few bucks here but if you guys say otherwise i will buy the temp controller. My last questions is did i get a good deal at 120 dlls? Thank you all and cheers!!

Can't see the regulator in the pic. But as long as it holds pressure, it's fine. And get a fridge/freezer thermometer to stick in there. If the temps hold steady at your desired serving temp, no need for a temp controller.

Yeah that regulator should be fine. You just don't have the high-pressure side, which is generally fairly useless anyway.

ok so sorry to bug but i may opt to get a second regulator a long with all the parts i need i currently have this as my cart does this look complete?

I don't see a shank on there, or a tap handle. Other than that I think you're good. Are you getting a dual regulator for future proofing? Because you only have one keg and one set of disconnects, so the 2nd regulator would go unused for now.

I'm still trying to figure it the appropriate size
For the shank I need to pull out the current tap and shank in the fridge to measure the hole and length of the current shank. Your right I did forget the tap handle thanks for that and yes I'm future proofing buy once cry once right? I'm hoping before the end of summer I'll purchase another keg tap and tubing. I was just mostly concerned on that I had gotten all the appropriate sizes for the tubing barbs ect. Again thank you for the help. Now I have to figure out what style of beer will be the first to be poured

Brew International has that same Taprite Dual Regulator for a lot less money. Just a suggestion ...
