OK, so I have pumpkin beer sitting in my primary right now. Next Sunday (7/26), it will get racked the the secondary for 2 weeks. That will take me to 8/9. I would prefer to start drinking this one mid to late September. So, my question is, do I let it sit in the secondary for 5 weeks taking me to 8/30, and then keg and force carb (set it and forget it), for 2 weeks bringing me to 9/13 OR do I carb keg with corn sugar and rack to the keg after the 2 weeks in secondary and just let it sit in the keg until ready? My guess is it will develop more flavor in the keg while conditioning, but would like to hear some opinions.
Cheers!

How long has it been in the primary? If it's been at least 3 weeks, I'd go ahead and keg it.

I don't do secondaries, unless it's a fruit beer. I usually do 3 week primaries, then keg it. Once kegged, I hit it with 30psi for about 3 days, then drop it to 12psi and I've found I'm drinking a week after kegging.

It's only been a week. Next Week will be 2 weeks in primary. My last batch I ended up overcarbing. Only did 30psi for 48 hours, then 10psi for 5 days. Lots and lots of foam. From now on, I'll put it at 10psi and leave it for 2 weeks

A bit lengthy, but his method worked for me. The gas disconnect is a PITA when trying to remove it from the liquid post. I have swivel nuts on my lines, so I just swapped the disconnects for the right one, then swapped them back when I was done.
