I am looking at getting a 3 keg setup. I would like to go ahead and just pay the extra money for the faucets rather than use the picnic taps for a while and upgrade later. I am looking at kegconnection b/c they seem to have the best prices (if i'm wrong please tell me where else I should check).

I thought about just putting my own thing together, but I feel like once I am done it'll end up costing as much or more than if I just buy a kit. Also, I don't have good luck on Craigslist for these types of things because I live in the sticks and there just aren't that many people selling brew stuff around here.

My question is..... Is the stainless Perlick faucet upgrade worth the extra $60? Is there really that much of a difference between the regular faucets and the Perlicks?

Thanks!

Simple Answer: Yes

Look at it this way, you can go with the standard faucet and see if you have problems with them. They will start to stick, so you'll have to clean them regularly (Read: every day), then you'll get tired of them and upgrade to Perlicks eventually. Do it right the first time and save yourself some money and aggravation in the long run.

Thanks chad. Good answer. I am all about buying quality stuff up front when I can, rather than upgrading over and over. Sounds like I will go that route.

One more question. Later if I want to add more kegs/taps is it just a matter of buying the stuff and using a bigger manifold?

I'd definitely recommend upgrading to the Perlicks too!

Yes, if you want to add more kegs in the future is all you have to do is buy a bigger manifold or get a splitter for your CO2 lines.

Yep!

That's if you plan on serving everything at the same carbonation level.

Good call. I am planning on getting dual regulators (i think thats the correct part) so I can at least have the option to force carb and serve or just serve at 2 different temps.
