Keezer questions

I am building a keezer and have ordered faucet parts, etc.

1. What size hole saw or drill bit should I use to make holes in my keezer collar? I am installing perlick faucets with stainless steel shanks.

2. What size box wrench will I need for the shank locknut?

You're going to want to get a beer nut wrench, they're like 5 bucks and you can just hang it on the inside of your keezer so you don't lose it- it has a bunch of handy tools on it besides the nut wrench as well. The hole size will depend on your shank size. You'll want to oversize your holes by 1/16-1/8" depending on how much effort you want to expend getting them in vs. snugness.

Faucet shanks are 7/8"x14. If you drill with a 7/8" bit you have essentially a press fit.

As for tools, these can be very handy indeed...

...but to a large part its actual utility depends on the faucet tower style and size. Ie, these tend not to be so useful with a skinny column.

Tight configurations may do better with something like this...
