keezer question I haven't seen

I see alot of people making collar's with 2x6's or so on. I have a bunch of 2x4's at my house and was wondering if i didnt want a tall collar on my 7cu freezer, can I make a collar out of 2x4's instead and fit the taps still?

Yes you can. 2X6's are used so you can fit kegs on the hump.

ahh thanks a bunch. yeah i can fit 4 with out the hump I dont see myself needing more than 4 kegs at one time! dont have that many people drinking it, nor me haha

It's nice to be able to condition beer on the hump waiting for a tap to open.

Yeah, I started with 2x4s for my collar but decided I wanted 4 taps and needed to use the hump so I went to 2x6s
