Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what area (assuming the correct height) that a freezer would need to have to fit 6 kegs?

I am pretty confident that 10cf will work, based on some designs I've seen, but volume doesn't necessarily mean anything if it's disproportionately tall.

Thanks!

PS - I'm in a rush to pick one up today because I have a truck. Last minute baby- that's how I do.

This image should help you out. In order to see different arrangements of kegs in my freezer I made a scale drawing in Inkscape. A scale rectangle for the bottom area of the freezer and scale circles for the bottom area of the kegs and found the best arrangement.

I have the Magic Chef 7.2 and it holds six kegs perfectly - probably the smallest footprint you'll find that will hold six.

Ok, I just re-read your post. Assuming each corny keg needs a 10" square, for 6 kegs you need (6kegs)*(10^2inch^2/keg)*(1foot^2/(12^2in^2))=4.2 square feet. This is a bit of an overestimate, but that's a good thing. Don't forget to factor in space for a CO2 tank if you plan on having it inside the freezer.

well, done and done.

I found a free westinghouse that is a shade away from a walk-in. Kidding aside, it's HUGE. i can fit 10 kegs in there and a Co2 tank.

I will post a pic, but it I am thrilled, what a huge score!
