going to be making keggle and tuns. how much barkeepers friend do i need to clean the three kegs.

Maybe a can or two. A couple of mine are filthy on the outside but the inside was simply scrubbed out with a dish cloth and some dish soap. That's all that was needed.

thanks, i just went on the web site and the stuff is dirt cheap so i"ll get a bunch, i'm sure i'll use it up

I only used half a can, myself. You can get it at the grocery store, don't order it. You might consider using an angle grinder and pads to buff them out. Search for BobbyM's thread on polishing kegs. Have fun, make sure you've got beer and a radio before you start!:mug:

I didnt bother much with the outside of mine, but the insides were terrible. The place I got them pulled the valve out and let the beer remnant dry on the inside for a month in the heat. I scrubbed for 20 minutes and had half of a square foot mostly clean.

Filled it with hot water and some PBW, came back four hours later, everything wiped away to spotless in less than 5 minutes. Perfect.
