Just got my new grain mill - how's my crush?

I do BIAB, and based on various recommendations here I decided to buy my own grain mill (Millar) so that I can get a finer, more consistent crush. Got it assembled last night and set the gap at a credit card's width. How does the crush look?

That looks good to me. My LHBS double mills mine without issue or I'd be milling my own as well.

so do you try to blow away some of the husks/chaff? or float it in water and skim off the husks?

I'd set the crush a little finer if you can go finer without having lautering problems. I see a few intact kernels there and a whole lot of really big husks. The crush on my mill is practically sawdust, and I got 94% mash efficiency on my last batch. Not saying you need to take it to that extreme, but you can probably crush a little finer.

No, leave the husks in there. They will filter the grain bed and make it easier to sparge without getting stuck.

Maybe run through twice. I think the gap setting is good, take notes on your efficiency.
