Dang... title is supposed to say "yeast starter"... not "yesterday starter". I don't know how to edit it! :(

If I want to store the yeast in jars, do I store it with the beer that was used in the starter? Or do I decant the beer and use freshly boiled then cooled water to top off the yeast in the jars?

I've also had this beer in the flask cold crashing in the fridge for a few days with aluminum foil covering the opening of the flask. I'm also worried about possible infections.

I'm currently in the process of boiling the mason jars I am going to use.

Jar it up. Store it with the fermented starter wort. When u are ready to use then decant most of the spent wort, swirl up the yeast at the bottom of the jar, and pitch into a batch or a new starter when u r ready to use.
