I've had a post in the trade section well before starting this thread. The reply in this thread was simply a statement, not an invitation to trade. This also may be better suited in the "Want to Trade" forum: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f245/
A refund. So what do you want?
Consecration sucked when I tried it too. Felt liked drinking a vinegar flavored lemon. Awful.
I just dumped a bottle of consecration. Yep, I didnt like it. It was nasty!
Got another bottle up for trade.
Consecration is a heck of an introduction to sours. Don't get me wrong, it may well be my favorite beer, but it's on the more out-there end of the spectrum for the style. Like, if you were introducing somebody to hop-forward American ales, you'd start with a nice pale, a Sierra or a Mirror Pond or something, because if you gave them your favorite extra-hoppy IIPA, great beer though it might be to your lupulin-shifted palate, they'd spit it out after tasting nothing but the bitterness.
A couple of beers that come to mind as far as having some of the depth and complexity of a Consecration, but with a little less sour and a little more sweet to balance the sour out: Duchesse De Bourgogne, Monk's Cafe, Panil Barrique, New Belgium's La Folie sour brown
