well, i've caught the kegging bug. i just bought 2 kegs for 14 bucks apiece off ebay. shipping over here was a bit much, like 30 bucks but oh well. still not bad i guess. now all i have to do is get a co2 reg. some beer lines, tap and i'm all set.

now, the question i have is this, i have a nitro reg(2 of them actually) can you use nitro to carb beer? i know its finer bubbles, but will the beer take the nitro like it takes co2?? any help would be good. thanks

Nitro won't carb the beer, it doesn't disolve, it is just used to force the beer through the higher pressure tap for stout etc. Using even beer mix to carb is a waste of gas. Most I read says use co2 for carbing and nitro mix for pouring, if you want to go that way. I don't know about running co2 through a nitro regulator, that will have to be answered by someone who knows better.

oh i won't be running co2 through the nitro reg. just wondering if the nitro can be use to carb the beer. i guess i'll be carbing natural for a little while and dispencing with nitro. i like the way nitro pours!
