First recipe that I have created myself hoping to brew this up soon. Feel free to critique and give me any advice/tips!

9 lbs Pale Malt (2 row) US (2.0 SRM)
2 lbs White Wheat Malt (2.4 SRM)
1 lbs Munich Malt (9.0 SRM)
1 lbs Victory Malt (25 SRM)

.75oz Simcoe 60 minutes
.25oz Citra 30 minutes
.25oz Citra 15 minutes
.25oz Citra 1 minute
.25oz Cascade 30 minutes
.25oz Cascade 15 minutes
.25oz Cascade 1 minute
1oz Citra Dry Hop 7 days
1oz Cascade Dry Hop 7 days

Wyeast Labs American Ale #1056 (with a 2 liter starter)

OG 1.071
IBUs 54.4
SRM 7.6
Est ABV 6.8

This is a 5 gallon batch with an efficiency of 74%

A pound of victory is a lot. If you love it, that's great, but I'd cut it in half.

The hops additions are miniscule for a 1.071 IPA. Move the 30 minute addition to 15 minutes, and then if you have more hops, double all the late additions (at least).

so instead of doing .25 at 30 and 15 just do .5 of each at 15?

so i cut my victory in half which brought it to 6.4 srm any advice on bumping that up? I kind of want to stay away from crystal malts.

What color are you hoping to get? You can add an ounce of carafa III to get it darker if you want, or sinamar. I like a light colored IPA, so I'd probably be happy with 6.4 SRM.

After some more research and tweaking here is what I have for a final draft of the recipe. If any comments/suggestions please do not hesitate to comment.

I would use something besides the precious simcoe for my 60 min. Magnum maybe or another clean bittering hop that is easy to get year 'round.

how about an oz of centennial for 60 minutes in place of the .75 oz of simcoe? Brings my IBUs to 69.
