I'm considering switching from bottling to kegging, and have one pressing concern. One of the main places I bring homebrew is a two week long camping event each summer, where electricity is not available (ice is). With bottles it's easy - just keep them in a cooler on ice. But what about kegs?
I can set up a jockey box, but I'm concerned about keeping it clean for two weeks of sporadic serving. I can bring a keg of PBW and another of water to blow it clean with (after offloading the ice to keep water from freezing) would that be enough to keep it clean?
I'm also concerned about storing the kegs outdoors in hot weather (this year we hit 99F). I'm sure they can take the pressure, but would two weeks in 90s weather in a keg spoil the beer?
