Just de-gas a regular bottle.
You're welcome.
I guess you could do that with the Flor, but they haven't released any other unblended non-fruited "lambics", right? Just the Gueze.

Yeah, I was in a no-joking-had-to-deal-with-a-holes-all-day mood lol. I'm wondering if this is from extra blending stock that they don't need anymore or if they consider it "premium" Spon like the Flor was.I think he was kidding...
Man, we couldn't even blend it down it was so oxidized and alcoholic! I saved a few pics of the label though before I sent it to the homebrew stash.ZUG-ZUG-ZUG-ZUG-ZUG-ZUG-ZUG-ZUG-ZUG-ZUG
The same has happened in Colorado around GABF time. I believe Atrial was on shelves there for a hot minute.Sometimes bottles are left in a market after a brewery travels to an event in said market, offering a one-time drop of certain bottles for store shelves. I've heard of that happening with bottles like Nocturn in California.
Ah that would make sense. If that's the case then it's pretty cool of JK to give those bars a crazy-awesome beer like Spon Flor. I'm sure people in Europe would be super happy with pretty much any JK beer.Sometimes bottles are left in a market after a brewery travels to an event in said market, offering a one-time drop of certain bottles for store shelves. Jester King distros through Shelton Bros outside our market last time I checked, so I've seen bottles on shelves out there in the EU. I know someone who saw Boxer's Revenge and Black Metal in Denmark on shelves. I don't think I've ever seen the genie bottles being sold outside our market though.Ah that would make sense. No ****, huh.Koelschip in Copenhagen gets cases well before they are released at the brewery of Spon and other JK beers. They keep them in the cellar until the US release dates. I'm sure this happens at other renowned bars over there as well.
No, this is false. We've sent some of our SPON beers to a few bars around the world, but never in advance of release. I was surprised to see that Black Project in Denver had a 3 year Methode Traditionelle on their board when I was there earlier this month.I want to try that 3 year blend!!!
Same price as the last release. *shrug*$336 for one allotment of 6 750s and 6 375s... finally may have priced me out.
180% the cost by volume of having drie fonteinen gueuze shipped priority international and arrive at my doorstep.

I'm sure they could get that price down if they made a buttload more of it, but just getting that entire program set up to make a limited amount of beer (based upon the weather here in Austin and amount of space taken up by the beer in their [already usually quite full] space) means it is what it is.
Got a busy weekend, but I'm sure I'll get 3 bottles to sock away like the last time they released. Gonna build at least a 5 year, if not 10 year vert. I'm not even gonna look at the bottles till they're 3 years old.

As we mentioned earlier this year, we’re moving to a lottery system for our super-limited releases. We’re doing this to avoid the drama and frustration experienced by our customers and staff during this year’s Atrial Rubicite release. We mentioned throughout the years that we want very much for Jester King to be a peaceful, relaxing, family-friendly place to visit. Unfortunately, our poor planning created circumstances this past summer where that wasn’t the case. Again, we’re sorry for that and feel bad for the folks who went to great lengths for bottles and unfairly came away empty-handed.
As a result, like we said we’re moving to a lottery for super-limited releases, starting with 2017 分桃 (Fēn táo) magnum bottles. Below are the details and a button to sign up for the lottery. We’re sure the new system isn’t perfect and has flaws, but it should accomplish our number one goal, which again, is having Jester King always be a peaceful, friendly, relaxing place to visit. Cheers.
