If I'm Jeff, or any other business owner, I'll be looking at the revenues for the weekend as a whole.
I think they more than likely suffered.
I would have allocated more bottles to Friday...to get more people drinking that day. 1500/2000/1000

You probably had more people collectively on Sunday than usual...but less drinking revenues as probably less than half were locals and had to drive back to the house.

Draft was damn tasty.

The majority of people I talked to really liked the new release schedule idea (myself included). Made it so the locals could get taken care of, people with tougher work schedules could get the beer, and even out of towners had multiple options.

I'm sure someone found a reason to be pissy and entitled, though. jeffstuffingsjk are you guys thinking of keeping this going?
We thought it went pretty well. We haven't decided for sure yet, but if we were to continue it, we'd likely shift a little more of the bottle allocation to Friday.

I just posted this on Facebook. If you or anyone you know would be willing to help, that would be great!

Texas Home Hop Growers,

We need your help!

We're working on making our first ever beer with 100% Texas ingredients -- well water, Texas grown grains and hops, and 100% spontaneous fermentation with native yeast and bacteria.

We recently took a big step forward when we learned from Blacklands Malt that we'll soon be receiving our first Texas grown malted barley from them! This was huge news for us at Jester King.

We're now looking to take the final step towards sourcing all native ingredients by finding about 15 to 30 pounds of Texas grown hops. We've managed to grow a few pounds ourselves so far at the brewery, but we still need more. If any home hop grower in Texas would be willing to help us with this project by supplying us with some home grown hops, we'd be greatly appreciative and would gladly share the finished beer with you down the road.

The hops don't have to be perfect or smell great. We're planning on aging them prior to use this winter in one of our coolship batches.

If you'd be willing to help us with this project, please send me an e-mail at [email protected]

Cheers!

Damn, may have to run with the wifes idea on buying some land and growing hops someday.

that would be badass.

course by the time i could pull the trigger 50 ppl would have me beaten to the punch ha ha

There is supposed to be about the same as mVb...and I'm betting they do the daily bottle count game again as well

I will be there at around 5, hopefully it won't be too bad. Cash only line has helped at previous releases.

Does 1,500 last more then the 2 hours 1,000 MvB did on Friday?
After several hours of careful calculations, I have determined 1500 is 50% more than 1000. Ipso facto, it should last 50% longer. Extrapolating on this theory, I estimate bottles should last approximately 3 hours.

Successful afternoon. Got in line around 2:45. We we're probably #150-175. They opened about 20 min early. Line moved smoothly, got a glass on draft and then headed out. It goes without saying that the beer is fantastic. Sold out around 5:30.

Nice meeting up with shelf_turd_ferguson for a quick minute there.

Cheers.

Does he have a really big hat?

That slaw...wow.

It was as good as Atrial...Saturday's batch at least.

On that note, several of us agreed that the Saturday pours were much dryer and less jammy than Friday's pours.
Friday>Saturday

I got more carb as if it was a raspberry soda on Saturday. I like it overall, but find I'm with you on the less jammy mouthfeel.
