I am making a JAOM-BOMM hybrid
My question is,do I treat it like a JAOM and just put it in a closet or like a BOMM and degass it daily?

Still No harm in degassing it though lol. I did one batch of original recipe, set it and forget it. Emphasizing the forgetting it. Checked on it months later, airlock was dry, sealed it (without racking). Forgot about it again. started thinking about making cider 6 years later and remembered I had something in the basement somewhere. Racked, bottled, and drank. It was good lol.

I like the (it was good) comment. I am working my way up to the berry death you recommended. Me thinks it might be a while.

Just a bit more costly with all that fruit, but the nutrient and degassing is basically the same, but in a bucket. Then again, my other hobby use to be keeping saltwater reef tanks, so daily measurements and dosing are things I’m use to.

I only just now remembered that I didn’t add any of the spice additions to my orange mead. otherwise leaving it for that ling prob would not have turned out as tasty, but I wouldn’t know lol.

Being so new to mead I have to try all recipes as written so I know what I like or dislike. Man it smells so darn good lol

My JAOM-BOMM is 30 days old today, all the fruit is still floating at the top. The smell is incredible, makes my mouth water in anticipation. I sure hope the fruits fall and the mead clears soon.

The fruit may not sink, depends on how much gas is trapped on/in them. Just let it clear, then rack out the mead.
