Yeah, it's a tough pill to swallow. I am still able to get most of the releases but damn. I wish I didn't have to worry about it and the Club worked the way it should have.

Am I the only salty OG who is now watching legitimate bottles being released by JWB and thinking what could have been? I thought I had purged all memories of being an OG following the debacle that the membership actually was, but seeing him release bottles that are hard to get and extremely well received has me relapsing worse than Charlie Sheen.

You can't get salty about bottle releases if you stop reading about them.

I'm taking the good riddance approach. I'd like to now thank the tool, since he's off my personal radar screen I can focus on directing my funds elsewhere. So much great beer going around, don't miss JWB one bit.

Listen, I've had one beer. It was great, DFPF. I'd love another bottle or some other offerings but I'm not trading for it because, Florida. There's a fine line between dick and ******* (see: taint)- we've blurred that line. Get over it. Make more beer and don't be so ******* arrogant, it doesn't look good on you.

If it's like previous years he'll show up with half empty sixtels so it will look like his stuff is crazy popular since it kicks so fast (or so he can abandon his booth by noon), but even before it kicks he'll spend his time giving pours to brewer buddies and groupies inside the tent and pretty much ignoring the festival attendees.

Keep in mind that someone saw J. standing around between sessions and asked if he wanted to talk. 5 minutes later we were recording. I knew three things about him - he was a homebrewer with hugely successful kickstarter campaign, he makes lots of heavily fruited beers, and a bunch of people don't like him. I asked him about all those things.

I didn't have any reason to be nasty to him - he was cool with me the only 15minutes I ever spent with him. Plus I don't think it's cool to show disrespect to a stranger that just took the time to sit down and talk me.

I suppose the definition of 'hugely successful' is highly subjective. Around these parts, with a forum full of OGs, I believe the biggest success of the kickstarter was the tremendous accomplishment of alienating a great number of us (early supporters) from the jump.
