Another solid BA BW out of the greatest beer region in the country.

Not as sweet as the Gigantic BW, but this is carbonated! Very well balanced with enough bitterness to remind you that you're an adult with the kind of taste buds that pay taxes and vote. Grow up and drink this beer!

Surprise treat last night, we had a little mini share and our guy busted this out. Spectacular flavor. Noticed that they used Lees yeast, basically tastes like a rum BA Lees.

Requoting this as I had one on Wednesday and it was absolutely the best thing I’ve drunk this year. A pure IV of malt, oak and refined sugar.

I was nervous this may have gone sour since it hit shelves in MI, it was pretty awesome. Was also pleasantly suprised by the Man Made Earthquake, it was like a big belgian-tinged barleywine.

This and BA Orange Giant are two great under-the-radar Portland barleywines.
