Surprise treat last night, we had a little mini share and our guy busted this out. Spectacular flavor. Noticed that they used Lees yeast, basically tastes like a rum BA Lees.

yeah along with regular twisted trace and a bunch of other awesome MN beer. appreciate the advice, you hit the nail on the head, its a drier version of TT
After going back to TH a couple times that week I realized that it's as good as regular, maybe better.

Drank some barleywine with ApocalypseZombie and Beerlistman on Monday for the National Championship game.

Stand out was Hand of Glory followed by B1 Aaron. Ancient One B-Bomb was straight barrel (in a good way). We all thought it got better as it warmed up and some of the base beer started to come through. KH was obviously a shell, but has held up better than 99% of the beers its age. As an aside, Ancient One KDS was very good, but Rare 2015 is currently tasting better and 1/2 the cost (secondary).

Also had the below last night:

Great cognac barrel, minimal sweetness, tons of date and leather notes with a really dry finish.

Really excited about this

Me too, especially since it appeared on Tavour like a legendary Pokemon and I snagged 3.

i got one in the fridge, damn now i’m intrigued. maybe this weekend

Drank a couple of pours of this at Hunahpu Day this year, and it was as good as advertised.

sacrelicio sent me a beer I'd never heard of (Kitten Treats) from a brewery I'd never heard of (Forager). It's a bourbon BA blueberry wheatwine. Drank it last night next to 13 BCBBW and Kitten Treats killed it. Trying to rack my brain, but I think this is better than any other barleywines/wheatwines I've had this year.

Forager is awesome.
