What a morning! I woke up to an apparently tripped circuit breaker, so no heat and a warm beer fridge. I guess having the Christmas lights on the same circuit as the beer fridge did us in.

This sums it up for me...
Not many at all! But my house is over 100 years old and even with some "updated" wiring, it wasn't designed for a big electric furnace/heater in the living room, a beer fridge, the computer stuff and the Christmas lights apparently. However, the tree is coming down in a couple of hours and the beer is already getting cold.
All is well here now!
The sun is shining for the first time in days and it's a balmy -5 degrees already.

*&%@in' rabbits chewed through one of my light strings and popped the GFCI a few days ago. Found out talking to my neighbor he had the same thing happen.
Apparently electric shock does NOT train a rabbit not to chew through a light string?
I guess I shouldn't mention I'm about to walk the dog. It's 53*F here this morning.

I'll take the Double jointed-ness but pass on the pot growing..I gave that up 15 years ago back in my music bidness/radio producer days after smoking some really nasty crap that was probably laced with something and I puked gallons of Pate and Champagne and beer on several Motown Session musicians. If you ever saw the movie Standing in the Shadows of Motown, I'm talking about some of those guys...I'll have you know that I did indeed puke on several of the Funk Brothers...And it took me SEVERAL YEARS to live it down...

He didnt mine, but i got a carboy and enough other stuff to make me feel happy enough... cheers... i have cracked open a cider and sat down here for the last hour or so... I could go for a nympho though... a year and a half of celebacy is starting to ware on me... (takes huge gulp of cider) I hate the fact that im counting...

In my 20's I worked in the music industry; I was a music producer for Detroit's public radio station, plus I was the music director/talent booker for a jazz club, and I also had a freelance photo/video business, doing music events, mostly for blues, jazz and punk groups in town...Great gig for someone in their 20's to hang out with people like that. I worked with or hung out with people like George Thorogood, Little Steven, John Lee Hooker, Sting's back up band from the "Dream of the Blue Turtle's" tour, and a bunch more, famous or simply know in the industry...I drank beer with a really scurvy looking English guy that George Thorogood introduced me too only as "Eric." I didn't realize until I had went to my seat and Thorogood called him onstage, that "Eric", was Eric Clapton. (It was right after his son died...he had shaved his head, and looked bad, I'm talking like a concentration camp survivor.)
I also peed backstage with Dizzy Gillespie once...He was just about to go onstage. I'm standing at the urinal next to him, and he starts doing cheek inflation exercises...Puffing them out way big..
I came this close to peeing on his shoes...

Nah, no luck this year...I didn't even get the carboy...The only gift I actually opened was the Brewmaster's Bible...everything else was money...I kinda miss not opening presents...But I get to hit the LHBS this weekend for some toys though.

Yep, IIRC it is the Brewing Wizard from BYO magazine.
I saw that in the bookstore at the begining of the christmas shopping season... i am jelous Rev. think you might share a few secrates from it?

Oh yeah, I'm sure when I get into it, I'll be quote from it...It also has some interesting recipes for nearly every style of beer, and they are a mix of AG and extract recipes.
There was even one for an All Grain Ginger Beer, that I might have to try.
