I was also thinking of that punch today. It was as well executed as the moon landing.

There is great irony in the conspiracy theories. Those folks have to be very creative to come up with all that crap, yet they can't conceive that it is actually possible, that it actually happened.
 
Just finished watching Apollo 13, now the rain has stopped, I'm out back with a brew.

You get to here all the talk between Houston and Apollo. Currently, they've redocked and are in lunar orbit before heading back to Earth.
 
BBC had a special on last night about the whole thing as broadcasted live - obviously not real time.
I definitely got goose bumps hearing some of the historic lines, "The Eagle has landed" "That's one small step for man...." Having grown up with those being common knowledge, I couldn't even imagine having lived through that happening literally live as the world watched.
 
I remember it a little bit. I was seven years old, my parents kept us awake to see the first moon walk. I fell back asleep in the TV room. (Most people only had one tv then) They woke me to watch those few historic minutes, then I went up to bed.
