Issue With Slow Pour On Keezer

I have 3 kegs in my keezer right now:
1) Hefewizen
2) Sparkling Ale
3) Biermuncher's Cream of 3 Crops

Temp set at 40F.
CO2 set to 12 psi

It seems like faucet 3 isn't pouring as fast as the others and all seem like they should pour a bit faster.

It tastes like the beer is carved well enough. Maybe could use a little more but it's already at the high end of the chart at about 2.47.

What might be the issue?

I checked for leaks by spraying Starsan mixture on connections. Not very much head retention either.

I really don't think so.

Can you swap QDs to see if keg #3 is the same with a "new" line, or if it's the line itself by pouring keg #2 through keg 3#'s line?

See if you swap the lines/QDs and if it changes.

I don't think it's terribly slow. Could be that your other kegs have more built up pressure than #3.


I'd try to pull the PRV on all of them to see if your pressure is equalized.

If that doesn't work I'd unscrew the post and check for hop debris in the poppet. You have a decent flow going so I would wait for the keg to kick, but that's just me

I will say that the QD was a little hard to get it to lock onto the post. Might this be some kind of indicator?

I turned off my CO2, released the pressure from all 3 kegs, dialed the pressure back up to 13psi and same. 1&2 pour the same and a little faster than #3.

This beer was very clear going into the keg so I really don't think hop debris would be an issue.

The QD was a little hard to get it to lock onto the post. Wonder if it's related?

Might try swapping it out like Yooper suggested.

When you say it was a little hard to put the QD on to the post it makes me think of the time I mixed the in and out post up and had them on the wrong one, could this be your issue. If so it will be hard has hell to get off. I had to use a flat head to get it off.

No it's correct. I just swapped the QD and it went into the post easier. I think it's pouring equal to 1&2 now. Hard to be sure.... I'm getting a buzz from all this testing!

I'll let it set for a day and test it again tomorrow.

What a fun problem to have! Beats doing brakes on the car!

I had this problem with one of my kegs. And then when I cleaned it out I still had a slow pour, I forgot to turn the gas back on. :smack:
