I'm in Madison, so not close, but do have a few I could part with

Used beverage elements before - a ball lock 4 pack for $164. looked at their site and the inventory didn't look so good. But I was happy with the 4 pack when I ordered six months ago.

Those look interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about the hydro testing every 2 years recommendation though. Worth considering.

Where are you seeing that?

its on more beer website:

NOTE: Oxebar Mono kegs are marked with a manufacture date. 2 years after production, and every 2 years after first use, it is recommended that the keg be hydro tested to ensure the keg is holding pressure. Hydro test instructions are below. You will also need a 100 PSI Gray PRV to perform the test.

hydro testing seems pretty simple:

  • Fill the keg to the brim with room temperature water
  • Replace the Green PRV with a Gray PRV rated to 6 BAR or higher
  • Pressurize the tank to 6 BAR (87 psi)
  • Hold the keg at 6 BAR for 1 minute
  • Release the pressure and immediately remove the Gray PRV and swap back to the Green PRV
  • If leaks or potential points of failure are found, replace the tank

a floating dip tube with filter is at least 10 $ so ur actually getting a new pressure tested keg for like 25$ or less. its a no brainer. they also run 20 percent off sales sometimes.

one issue with oxys are they are a little bit taller than cornies so if you have a tight issue height wise it might not work in all kegerators. usually i have noticed the depth is more of an issue with kegerators. ymmv

I haven't purchased used cornies from them, but their prices for new kegs is pretty competitive and I've been happy with this merchant.

Kegland recommends that hydro testing procedure at the same two year interval for all of the Fermzilla pressure fermenters too. It doesn't mean that the products only last two years.
