Was just wondering if the recommended dosage of Wyeast wine nutrient blend was correct at 1/2 tsp per 5 gallons. It just seems rather low for wine/mead when other nutrients I have suggest a dosage rate of 1/4-1/2 tsp per gallon. Is this stuff just super concentrated? I just started a 1.25 gallon batch of blackberry wine and 1/10 tsp just seems too little but I figured I would go with the recommended dosage before adding more. Thanks in advance!

IME, it's a basic guideline for beers. Use more, or less, as you feel. I typically weigh out the amount I'm adding. Then again I use it more in beers using other nutrient for meads. You can use it for mead/wine but I'd adjust dosage by the OG.

I have, on accident, added far more to a beer than it lists (or I would normally do). Nothing bad happened for the beer.
