Is this wire any good?

So looking at prices for 10-3 wire to run from panel to elements I came across this Wire sold online at Home Depot.

Do not use that cable. It is solid core copper and is not flexable in any way for use in your intended setup.

solid wire is not going to be the best for elements. Not saying you cant use it, but it will be very stiff. Save your self the troubles and get the stranded wire.

Thanks for the quick responses! Think I may go with a dryer cord. Is that ok to use? Looking at this one.

Since I installed these yesterday I may as well go with the dryer cord.

Dryer cords will work safely for e-brewing gear.
What you sacrifice with dryer cord is the flexibility of SOW cord.

How/where you mount the receptacle and your cord can go a long way to minimize that limitation.

I used that cord to run to the outlet (6awg) - from the sub-panel breaker. Works fine for that - but as mentioned before, do not use for hookup cords for the elements.
