This is what my dark hybrid looked like on bottling day.

Looks like the remaining krausen, should be ok.

I've never seen it quite so bubbly, and looking at pics of infections it has a similar but not quite same appearance so I wasn't certain.

Thanks!

Those bubbles look a tad bit suspicious. The size of them is what concerns me. How's it smell and taste? If it is an infection there are things you can do to avoid bottle bombs. Test a bottle periodically and note the carbonation. If it seems to be getting overcarbed, put all the remaining bottles in the fridge to slow down the infecting bacteria/yeast. and then drink them quickly, rather than slowly.

I just bottled this Wednesday, and I don't taste mine unless I'm adding extract flavorings.

It didn't seem to smell funky to me.

When would you think it an adequate time to check one, and what exactly would you do? Refrigerate it for 3 days and open after 2 weeks at 74*?

6 gals may be a bit much to drink quickly! I'd need to invite a few neighbors over and begin drinking at lunch time!

The bubbles seemed a bit large so I worried a bit. I've seen some nasty looking stuff on my beer before and none of them have come across as tainted. I realize fermentation isn't really pretty though.
