I started fermenting a 5 gallon batch of Edwort's Apfelwein on 5/15. On day two it began to overflow into the airlock. I addressed that problem already. However, today I noticed some sediment build up in the bottom of my airlock. I've read about people having issues with mold in the airlock, but I don't know if that's what this is. Should I clean it out, leave it, or something else? There's a picture attached if that helps.

What bribo said, you want NOTHING but vodka/sanitizer/sulphite solution/whaterveritisyouuse in your airlock.

Thanks for the help guys! I cleaned it out and replaced it. It should be good now. I appreciate the quick responses.
