On balance I would say it's decently priced, but they're not losing any money on it, either.
Not saying you couldn't do a little better, just that nobody's going to go broke on that deal :)

I would advise not buying a CO2 cylinder, unless you have identified a conveniently located refill-on-demand vendor. Most gas shops have gone to tank swaps, so you may end up waving a tearful Bye Bye to your shiney aluminum tank and going home with a steel beater...

Cheers!

I'm with tripper, don't buy a new tank until you check with the local gas suppliers. I bought a new one and the only place that fills them locally is a good drive away and they keep odd hours. Austin homebrew is a good business though and I never hesitate to throw them some cash when they are competitive with others. IMHO this is a fair price from a good business and I wouldn't hesitate to jump on it, just don't fall for the tank gag until you check locally.

I don't think it's that good a deal. I'd rather have a two-gauge regulator (Taprite is good).

You can get used cornelius kegs if that's the style you want. I prefer, if I'm going to buy a new keg, to get MoreBeer's Torpedo kegs. Shipping on those is free.

Here's a taprite dual gauge regulator for a good price:

You can get the quick disconnects and tubing and such any place.

I know you may be more interested in a complete kit to start to reduce the decisions you need to make (been there, felt the same), but if you can wait a bit and look for used corny kegs, you might knock your price down quite a bit.

Of course you can buy refurbished kegs cheaper, but I like to beat up equipment myself. It's not a bad deal for a keg, regulator, and all the connections. If your not buying this stuff locally, shipping costs on all the small stuff may eat up most of the difference.

Well, if you INSIST on new kegs, there's this:

$69 for a new keg. Not a bad deal, not bad at all. Add a good 2-gauge regulator, a little tubing, cobra tap picnic faucet, gas QD, a few clamps, and it's there.
