At the beginning of every year for almost a decade, I've seen this question on BeerAdvocate, RateBeer or TalkBeer. I feel as if the question has gained steam lately and now I even see it 3-4 times a year. It comes from all corners of the US, from small towns and large, from those who attend local beer releases to those who don't GAF anymore.

Truly, this is the age of the "is a craft beer bubble here?" thread.

But I posit to you this: has the "is a craft beer bubble here" thread peaked? Are we about to see the bubble burst and this genre of thread vanish from our consciousness forever?

I welcome your thoughts.

Is this like that time all of your whale-y check ins were pictures of people taking pictures of the bottles?

Good memory.

Truly a study in the human experience; the gaping maws, the slight twisting of the bottle to catch the light, CheapBeerBuzz proudly proclaiming that the bottles look bigger if you turn the camera upside down, no one noticing that I was taking extra sips of their wales while they were uploading to Imgur, Untappd, and posting on-... wait what

Chuckle. Looking forward to your pictures of your new black sports car, iphone/android upside-down...

It's definitely the golden age, forums are full of long, tedious "prestige" CBBTs that everyone asks you if you've seen.

First thought: "Ha! That's a silly comment."
Second thought: "Wait, no I definitely want that."

There's a tantalizing possibility that could possibly work. I've had some good low-to-zero IBU modern IPAs, where the bitterness is mostly perceived bitterness from heavy dry-hopping. Would it be possible to boil off the alcohol from an already-fermented beer, then hit it with a big dry-hop using fruity hops, and come up with something good?
