Got to open up some nice bottles this weekend with a friend in town.
Sur Lie '13 - nice, big strawberry character, but getting some plastic phenolics
Sur Lie '15 - still one of my favorite batches, big tropical fruit flavors, lightly tart, amazing
Magic Ghost '14 - still a rough batch of MG, bit macha and woodruff flavor, apples, brownish dark green, odd
Sante 12 - this bottle was more oxidized than the last I opened, falling off
Sante 19 - still love this one, lots of lime and citrus going on, drying out a bit more than when it was fresh
Sante 20 - I opened a bottle a week or so ago and it was much different, this had a lot more thyme, more like Printemps

Chope with a squiggle/Z-stem.

The interwebz would break.
All about dat branding, a lot of people into glassware want fantome glassware and they don't even drink tomes.

Anyone hear any rumo(u)rs of any new Tomes coming out soon? Seems like we had a steady stream there for a bit (Grimm, Forest Ghosts, Desert Ghost, Artist), but haven't heard much lately.

I'm gettin' dat itch

I read something recently about Strange Ghost being in the fermenter( maybe 3-4 weeks ago) I've been wandering the same thing. Etre has August Sur Lie. I've been waiting for something new to buy some with.

Couldn't find a corkscrew when opening a La Dalmatienne recently.

Problem solved itself. Within a minute of removing the cap, the cork was already protruding by a centimeter. I immediately got the **** outdoors with the bottle, nudged the cork, and watched it fly 50+ feet. Hardly any gush.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ah, the joys of over-carbonation but no nucleation points.

Sante 20. Sort of felt like a Belgian pale ale / Pissenlit hybrid. Herbal (clove, mint, coriander) with an underlying fruit (banana, dragonfruit, melon). This one lacked the typical Fantome carb. Corkless.

19>20
good description !! yes .. no more corks at this BOttling moment ...

I just saw that BiaB added some bottles of Ete. Anyone know if this is a new batch, or they dug up some from the 2014 batch?

If it's a new batch, I'm definitely excited for that to hit Etre.

Ignore me. Seems as if it's the 2014 batch, and it's sold out. BiaB can be misleading.

tosh remove your like from my last post as I hang my head in shame...

Revisiting Del Rey after a few months, this bad boy gushed all the place. Good news is my cat Satchmo digs this one, at least the bit he lapped off the floor.

Big funky earthy aroma, less caramel and fruit than it was a while ago. Still a bit of citrus and pepper. Much drier on the palate than my last bottle for sure, high carbonation but not excessive despite the gush. Not ropey at all, quite light and nimble for the high abv. Slightly more tart and dusty tasting, not in a bad way almost like a 80/20 blend of Pissenlit and Gueuze. So funky.
