Hey ever'body!

I have on a hoppy beer kick recently, and I'm gonig to try my first IPA. It's pretty simple and straight forward. I wanted to make sure it wasn't too light bodied hence the wheat addition. I would also be interested in trying this PM, I just am not sure exactly how much grain vs. extract to use. Would like 2.5lbs 2-row in place of 2 lbs DME be sufficient? I still need to get a cooler and the whole setup but still would like to try it for this recipie. I am not doing a full volume boil at this point so my hop utilizations will be lower. I would just get a 7 gal pot but my stove barely has enough umph to do the 3 gallon boild I do. Propane burner will be next year...

Comments/Suggestions??

Just do a mini-mash with the wheat, a pound of 2-row and 3 quarts of water. Hold it at 152 for 60 minutes. Hopping looks good.

So to determine how much less extract to use I should just plug into promash what I am mashing. Using this value I can reduce the extract amount accordingly? Can you estimate my efficiency using just a bug juice cooler and manually recirculating the water? Like 65%? Higher?
