Had my first IPA few days ago and I am blown away.
I am not looking for something over the top, something nice and drinkable...Could anyone comment on my hop schedule for Suterday brew day. As mentioned no chill and i would really like to use hop tea instead of dry hopping.

Pale malt 85%
Munich 10%
Crystal 60L 5%

OG 1.065
IBU 60ish
4 gallons batch

Hops available: Northeren brewer 6%AA and Styrian goldings 4.5%AA
Schedule:
1 oz SG 4.5%AA FWA 14.77 IBUs
1 oz NB 6%AA FWA 16.11 IBUs
1 oz NB 6%AA 60 min 26.60 IBUs
1 oz SG 4.5%AA Hop tea at bottling 5.6 IBUs

Dont really know what I am doing and dont have much time on my hand to do proper research....

What kind of IPA are you looking to make?

Northern brewer is ok for a bittering hop for an IPA, but that combo of styrian goldings and northern brewer is odd, and will be nothing "IPA-like".

That grain bill looks good.

I would not make an IPA until I had a good grasp on no-chill and flavor/aroma hops (they get more bitter and lose flavor during the no-chill) and get some hops more suited to an IPA.

For an American IPA, American c-hops (cascade, centennial, columbus, chinook, etc) or other US hops like amarillo would be great. For an English style IPA, more caramel/crystal malt would be in order and using some English hops like fuggles or EKG would get a very drinkable beer.

Looking in lines of English-ish IPA....Because possible substitution for fuggles is SG and for chinook is NB,
here is recipe I took and adjust for what I have at home. Would use S-04.....Yeah, juste read a bit more and theres not many happy customers about SG/Fuggles/Willamette single hop IPA. Will wait for now.... Just curious, hop schedule would be ok?

Yeah I need to grow up a little more for IPA. Making brown ale instead. Thanks for advice:mug:

I second what yooper said; however, if you're not brewing for competition, it doesn't matter that much. I like the grain bill & bittering hops, I would just use one or more of Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade, Centennial, for aroma (late, and/or dry hop).

Or, if you're going English, maybe not NB as a late hop-might be a little harsh. East Kent Goldings would be better.
