#1- realistically, trading and selling are identical. The only difference is the type of currency.
#2 - Everyone knew it was for sale at the tap room.
#3 - why would they send out 1 case of sosus, 1 case of KS to each bottle account if not to generate hype? they knew exactly what was going to happen. Even the delivery guy thought it was a waste of time to deliver it. Clark is a master of Marketing.

Master of creating hype and a clueless wonder on twitter.

If this isn't the right place to ask, I'll leave IMMEDIATELY!!

Driving from Chicago to Cedar Falls, IA and back next weekend. Any must hit bottle shops around there, or on the way? Mainly looking for some TG goodness.

John's Grocery is Iowa City has a HUGE craft selection.

I think I'm going to be taking the northern route along 20. Almost 40 miles shorter for me. Anything good in Dubuque or Waterloo?
There really isn't anything exciting in Dubuque, especially if you want to just hit up a bottle shop on your way through town. TG doesn't distro here. I go over to Illinois or Wisconsin to get most of my beer. John's in Iowa City is out of the way, but has a great selection.

2011/2012 Tilquin Gueuze in the fridge at a grocery store. Thank you Iowa. Cases of Zeelander sitting in the walk-in so I could grab a couple bottles of that and Dorothy's and avoid an additional 3 hr round trip to Decorah. Thank you Iowa. Your Hy-Vees are my new favorite grocery store. At least for a day.

Anyone have more info about the MD release? I won, but the email doesn't have much other than group times and parking info. Friend told me that they would kick everyone out after their time so you had to make sure to get your pour and finish it before your group time was up. Not sure if that's true so I'm trying to figure it out and plan accordingly since I'm driving a ways.

I didn't even bother trying to get in, but your story lines up with other's i have heard.

Hey anyone know what the "guest taps" at TG will be tomorrow after the releases?

I'll be at Schera's tomorrow for Zwanze I know I met a few of you last year when I was there looking forward to a nice day in Elkader...

I'm headed to Quad Cities this week for work. Anyone know where is a safe bet to pick up some Toppling Goliath cans / bottles? It looks like Hyvee in Davenport carries them, but I have no clue what the selection is like. I'll even take suggestions for some good bars / restaurants in the area. Thanks!

I'm not sure about Davenport but the Hyvee in Dubuque, IA has a ton of their cans/bottles. Last time I was there they had pseudosue, golden nugget, dorothy's, rover truck, and a few bottles of light speed and thresher. I've heard Hyvee does a good job of distributing their stuff to each of their stores overall so I'd expect a similar selection down there unless it gets picked over more frequently.

Hey sorry for the delay on this. I haven't been to any of the HyVee's in about a week but the usual best bets for TG is the Bettendorf store, the 53rd Street & Utica Ridge Rd store and the stand alone HyVee Wine and Spirits on West Kimberly Rd by the Wal Mart. You'll always find the 4 packs of TG bottles, probably Rover Truck, Dorothy's and maybe Golden Nugget. Now that they go through a distributor in pretty sure you can find some at any HyVee. Bombers are hot and miss. I can stop by the Bettendorf store tomorrow and report back to ya.

Good bars and restaurants? Well I'm married with kids and I work up to 72 hours a week so I don't get out much. If I do head out is usually to Green Tree Brewery in LeClaire or Bent Riverine Moline or Rock Island, IL. Both are good but not spectacular. Cheers dgoogle.
