Iodine

Hi all
I would like to start swapping between Starsan and iodophore, but cannot get my hands on the latter where I live.
Can I substitute the regular iodine that is used to apply to wounds?
If so, what would be the ratio?

Go to your local (Drugstore) and get Povidine. Works just as well with the Iodine in it.

If you can get 5 Stars' products, they make IO-Star, which is similar to Iodophor, AFAIK.

Swapping between sanitizers isn't necessary. Experts on the topic say that microbes cannot become tolerant to the active ingredient in StarSan (DBSA).

Use an effective cleaner before sanitizing and all is well
