I know this may not be the correct place to post this but I dwell more into making ciders so I guess I will post it here.

I am wondering if there are any international vendors? The supply I have in my country is very limited, looking to buy some malolactic bacteria.

On a seperate note, is kegging the only alternative to carbonate my cider as opposed to bottle carbonation?

Thanks!

I would be a bit cautious importing anything biological. Most contries are pretty strict on that sort of thing.

i have had yeast and bacterial cultures shipped internationally with no problems, but indeed the rules are country-specific. dry packs listed as 'brewers yeast' for example get through between north america and europe with no problems.

i get my stuff from here:

they do ship internationally but they don't give rates for outside europe. and, unhelpfully, the website is in dutch. but they have pretty much everything you need incl malolactic cultures

I tried to use that site but I can't read anything? haha. Any australian or american vendors perhaps?

yup, dutch is not something you can just guess at. sometimes there are like 5 vowels in a row. and the J is worth hardly anything in dutch scrabble because it appears several times in each and every word. if you can't find anything else and want to give them a try just send them an email, everyone speaks english here (but there must be an aussie/kiwi vendor!)

Thanks guys!

I tried wineequip but they haven't gotten back to my mail.

As for the homebretlkvendors, do you know which one is international?

You have to give winequip a phone call. They are probably too busy this time of year to respond to emails from overseas, but their service is pretty good if you give them a call.

I believe either kegging or bottling are you only two options. I suppose you could just cap the fermenter at some point, chill it down and then pull samples directly off that, but I'm not sure that's the best idea.
