Greetings homebrewers,

I recently bought a house that is a bit of a fixer-upper and am turning one of the rooms in the basement into a home brew room. I plan to install a large utility sink like this:

Has anyone else installed something like this? Any advice on things to make sure to do/not do?

The room it's going into has plumbing already, with the washer/dryer being located in the same room. So I already have hot/cold water and drain access.

If anyone has installed a utility sink like this, would be curious to get any advice. Thanks!

If this is going to be mounted against a wall, make sure the faucet you order has the correct
mounts. Most kits assume the hot and cold water are stubbed out and ready to attach to, and may or may not include elbows.

If you are going to use hoses, you may need to order a kit that has 90 degree elbows (check your faucet, or ask who you purchase from).

Thanks for the advice. I was actually wondering about the best way to install the faucet. It seems like these sinks are designed for a different sort of faucet than what I'd like to use. Ideally, would like to use something like this:

Any suggestions how I could make this work?

The sink looks to have a couple holes for water lines, but I don't see any spot that looks to be made to install the sort of faucet I'd like to use.

With respects to the sink you previously mentioned you need splash mount faucets.
