I just converted 3 kegs to keggles and am left with the cut out top piece still attached to the inside rod (looks like a small umbrella). Has anyone come up with a good DIY project for the left over pieces?
Here is what I did with the dip tube and ball that was in the valve. Nothing crazy, but it works well. Also used the valve itself to help build the jig to cut off the top.
I am bottom-draining all my keggles. This is actually the bottom of a keg that I turned into a FB. 1200 holes drilled with a #40 drill. (well, actually 2 drills) LOTS of patience. I used a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder to do the slots. FB works REALLLLLLLY well.
