I am planning on setting up a control box for an automated system. I would like to have the entire box connectorized. Does anyone know a good way to get the A/C input power connectorized, so I can just connect an extension cord to power it up? I'd like to not have any cords hanging out of the box for a clean look and easy dissasebly. Is this a bad idea for any reason? I will be using 120v supply.

Why not wire the main power for the box to an outlet on the box? Then you'll just need to customize an extension cord with 2 male plugs and plug them in when your ready to use the box.

or maybe use one of these

I thought about that, but was questioning the safety of having an extension cord with two male plugs.

brew_ny thanks, thats what I was looking for. Couldn't think of a name that would get me there.

I just finished my control box using nothing but powercon for power connections. They're rated up to 20 amps and take up very little space.

I'm going to use the end of a 12ga. ext. cord. leaving about 12 inches outside the box / panel.
