Hey guys, last night i made a yeast starter that i was gonna use tonight but i couldnt brew so it'll have to wait till tomorrow, but if you look at this image, is that normal ?

Its wyeast 1318 i think, London Ale 3 (harvested)

When i racked the beer to bottles that i originally used the yeast for, it had the same kind of layer ontop, but the beer is fine, drinking it right now.

I've never used liquid yeast before so not sure if its normal or not :/

Looks normal to me. That's a mini krausen. Good sign! You have a healthy yeast starter!

Awesome :) was afraid it was infection bubbles, like i've seen in so many images but if the pro's tell me its fine, its fine!

Thanks guys :)

Perfectly normal. No way you'd have visible infection to that degree in a day. Especially not in a starter with the yeast choking everything else out.

Yeah its about 24 hours old now, i couldnt brew tonight like i planned (GF went out so i was at home with my son)
So i plan to use it tomorrow :)
