Induction hob

Haven't yet punched a hole in my twenty gallon kettle and came across this guy.

Anyone know if it could do a 10 gallon batch? Also if the pot rests on both burners will they both work together? Any help would be cool.

I've been experimenting with a 3000W single-burner cooktop with 5-gallon full boils (6.5 gallons), with pretty good results. To help others out, I've documented my experiences on my blog at http://inductionhomebrewing.wordpress.com/.

It looks like 3400W is the total power available when using both burners on the cooktop you linked to. On the cooktop I purchased, there seems to be an 8" diameter "hot spot" in the center of the cooking area, so if your kettle will straddle both hot spots, it might work well for you. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to try it...

What I have found with it most pots will not work with induction cookers. However you can buy one of these
